"SCAM"

Scam

Turned up to an empty caravan plot Spoke to Haven reception and Booking.com have been made aware several times that this is a scam but have done nothing about it or the 'Owners'

"No caravan scam avoid"

There was not caravan there it’s a scam I went in reception 3 times looking for this caravan to be told it’s opposite the park 4th time looking still no caravan only to be told by someone on site it had been removed and the person advertising is a scam my 3 kids was so upset we had to travel all the way back home

The fact is was no there

"Complete scam!! We was left with no property to stay in."

SCAM!!! DO NOT STAY!! No water, Electric or gas, Haven have kindly opened up an investigation to prevent this being listed. We couldn’t stay in it as it’s not liveable. The property was unlocked Mould everywhere No TV No Kettle No plates, cutlery, bins ect Very dirty inside and out

It is not suitable, it’s a scam as no water, gas or electric

"Sad caravan"

Ideal. Near Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington

The caravan hadn't been cleaned . We found a pair of knickers and a sock in one unmade bed. Pen stains on duvet. Caravan smelled of damp. A leak under the sink probably causing that. Kitchen doors were greasy and handles sticky.. The freezer was iced up. Door left open while still switched on. We took a fair bit of time to clean up the mess. Broken toilet cistern handle also. Sorry for the bad review but it's a honest one.

"Cooker disconnected and owner uncontactable"

Location and club facilities are good

I booked this caravan for a short break with my 90 year old Mother who has dietary needs so wanted to self cater. On arrival I noticed the fridge was not clean and contacted the owner by text via the site. No reply. Later when I tried to use the cooker I discovered it didn't work. I again contacted the owner . No reply. Maintenance on the site which is owned by Haven were helpful and discovered it was not connected to the gas . We were told this would be rectified the next day . On returning from a day out we found the cooker still didn't work. I then discovered the gas cert on the boiler stated the cooker had been disconnected 3 weeks previously for safety reasons. On reporting this to the site office I was told there was nothing they could do as it was a private rental . They did try to call the owner but no reply. The owner has still not replied so the issue can not be resolved.

"Dreadful, book at your own risk."

Do not stay at this property. We were scheduled to stay for 3 nights, but left after 2 night. There is no way of contacting the owner. Gas has to be supplied by the owner as this is a private rental. The Leeds area phone number and the e-mail didn't work. We were left without any gas for our stay and temperatures dropped to below 12 inside the caravan. No gas = no heating or cooking or hot water. We were limited to the small microwave. The bedding provided was left on the sofa and was dirty/black marks like someone had stepped on it. The pillows were covered in mould, not just a bit of mould, some of the pillows were covered. The duvet was covered in yellow stains and something bright purple. There was washing up left in the sink. There was a mop and bucket left with dirty water. There was a pair of dirty children's knickers and socks left mixed up in the stained bedding. The toilet roll holder fell off in the main bathroom. The bin was full in the caravan. I was back in North Yorkshire for my dad's funeral. This was the last thing I needed. We left early as the caravan was too cold. I have photos of all these things but no way of contacting the owner to discuss it. Booking.com sent a booking e-mail saying gas was requested through reception. This isn't the case. Lastly, there should be a welcome pack with details about the caravan, the park and most importantly fire safet/health and safety details. This was nowhere to be found. This pack isn't a choice, it's legislation. I would hope the owner sees this and contacts me, but I doubt it. If you do contact me, I have photos I can send.

"Horrendous"

Nothing

Caravan was not cleaned until 4.45 pm Cooker in the caravan did not work we had kids and one wurg a medical condition that required certain foods We reported the cooker every day and still at the end of our stay no one came to fix it

"Terrible service"

Really close to path down to beach

Property had not been cleaned at all we had to clean it ourselves!! No bedding was provided for us to even put on ourselves. Bedroom STUNK of urine. Mould on the pillows/mattresses. Attempted to contact the owner with zero response and phone number provided doesn’t work. We left early because of how uncomfortable we were and no other accommodation was available for us.

"Wouldn’t book private again"

Good location and had a bath

Cooker and heating didn’t work. Contacted the owner several times with no reply. Could have been cleaner. Beds was very uncomfortable. We came home early with no compensation or apology
