Room with a View

Good location, nice view from the windows.

Loud AC made it difficult to sleep at night.

The room was amazing, with an unbeatable location in the heart of uppertown Bergamo. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Kristina was a great host. Always replied promptly. Met me at the door downstairs for (a slightly early) check-in and showed me the room and all it’s features. Bedroom/kitchen was clean and well-equipped. Great view, of course. Comfy bed. Hot water. Good wifi. Excellent location for Cita Alta sights, restaurants and the no.1 airport bus. Very quiet in that I never heard a neighbour at all. The stairs and church bells added to the old-town feel for me personally but could see how it might be an issue for some.

The bathroom could have been cleaner. The washing machine in particular (which I wasn’t using but couldn’t help but notice) needs a deep clean. Check-out is particularly early at 10am sharp (any later incurs a rather steep €30 charge).

Very convenient for old town restaurants, museums etc. Great view from windows. Nice to have little kitchenette. Comfy bed.

Poor communication with host. I sent two emails prior to arrival, my questions were largely unanswered. However, we did manage to get early check in which was appreciated but this took several messages which were not answered and then I telephoned which was picked up. It would be helpful to say in Welcome message if getting bus from airport to get off at Colle Aperto.

The location away from the main touristy area. The view from the room was exceptional. We stayed for a week and even got to like the church bells - particularly the 7.30am bells as we didn't need an alarm clock to wake us to get going for the numerous day trips from Bergamo to Milan, Lovere, Brescia, Lake Garda, and around Bergamo Citta Alta itself which is not to be missed.

Fantastic host! Very quick to respond to any questions and very helpful. Lovely room and perfect location for exploring and a stunning view.

The stairs were a little challenging with luggage.

The location was excellent, as well as the view. The bed is extremely comfy and the kitchen comes with a lot of appliances.

The apartment owner was very helpful, however we did have to wait for 45 minutes after the agreed meeting time outside of the apartment for them to drop off the keys. You also have you climb a lot of stairs to get to the apartment, although this was not a problem for us, it may be more of an issue if you’re someone with reduced mobility.
