The staff were very professional and friendly Food good. The grounds are beautiful. A very spacious room.

Bathroom dated and lacked extra little touches such as face cloth or vanity set and there was nowhere to put toiletries in bath/shower area. The extractor fan I feel needed replacing as it was noisy and stopped working at one point. Bed tired as dipped in middle.

Lovely setting and very friendly staff. Pool, jacuzzi pitch and putt, full size snooker table, 18 hole golf course. Great walks around the woods, and 20min into Gatehouse

The rooms in the extension (the end block) have a big issue. There’s no dampeners on the doors, so they SLAM shut even if people just leave the room. We didn’t sleep at all night 1. The team were really good about it and moved us to a quiet room in the main building, for which we were grateful. But they said it’s a common complaint; please Management just invest in new door swings so they close without sounding like gunshots going off!

Room was spacious and clean Really enjoyed the balcony and even spotted some hares which was fantastic Staff were all friendly The pool was much appreciated as was the sauna Breakfast was very good in the conservatory with our dog Very dog friendly and great walks on doorstep

Was a little run down in places but I kind of liked the charm and faded grandeur to be honest

Beautiful building with some stunning public rooms. Nice walks around the golf course that surrounds it. Excellent swimming pool.
