Super friendly hosts and delicious food!

We stayed for our first 2 nights in Sri Lanka at Sweet Home Tourist Rest and it was just amazing. The host, Nilukshan, was so kind to pick us up at the airport in Negombo for a very fair price so we wouldn’t have the hassle the first day. The room we stayed at as well as the bathroom and was spacious and clean. The days we spend at Nilukshan’s place he, his wife or mother would cook the meals for us, which were just delicious (and not too spicy). It gave us a great introduction into the local food!! So an absolute recommendation!! Furthermore, Nilukshan help us organize our tour in Anuradhapura and gave us also some great advises for our further stay in Sri Lanka.

I was truly so impressed with the level of hospitality and help that Nilukshan and his family provided during my stay. The guesthouse itself was spacious and very comfortable and is situated in a lovely, quiet residential area. The meals I had there were some of the best I had during my whole stay in Sri Lanka. I went on the tours of Anuradhapura and Mihintale, and an extra tour to Ritigala. They were all so informative and it was a bonus to be able to spend the time with Nilukshan and his wife. I can't recommend Sweet Home enough. It was easily one of the greatest highlights of my time in Sri Lanka.

this is a true homestay with a very kind and generous family.. the rooms are clean comfortable with everything you need.. food is delicious and feels just like home.. i stayed for two nights and also did tour of ancient city and mihintale… Nilukshan is so kind patient professional and thinks of your every need..I would highly recommend this property for stay and for Nilukshan tour services..

I should’ve booked an aircon room.. purely for more personal comfort to sleep at night..
