Mt. Vernon Motel

The staff were great , very friendly and quite accommodating.

Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Owners were very kind. Quiet.

Fwlt that the price was alittle high for this motel. The door didn't feel secure due to the dead bolt not working. The floor creeked the tub when u walked across the room. Bed was just ok.

Walls are thin. We could hear the person in the next room very clearly, talking, snoring, and moving around in bed.

The manager was very friendly and answered the door rapidly when I checked in, even though I was the last guest for the night and he was obviously waiting for me. There was ample parking.

The room (I had #107) was in need of maintenance. The toilet paper holder had been torn off the wall and not replaced. The shower had loose screws and there was obvious water damage to parts of the room. The crossbolt lock on the door did not work.

The room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly. There was also a great little diner right next door.

The room was very sparse; there was no decor or "homey" touches.
