"Beautiful cottage, perfect for families"

10.0

Beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, had absolutely everything we needed. Interesting place with a medieval moat visible from the back garden (all safely fenced off). Comfy beds, woodburner with logs provided. Wished we could have stayed longer. .

"Fabulous cottage in a lovely location"

10.0

What a lovely cottage, spotless and cosy and nicely decorated. Was a nice touch to provide bread, milk, butter, eggs, tea, coffee sugar. Was well equipped in the kitchen and logs provided for the fire. The bathroom and bedrooms were nice and spacious. The hosts were very friendly and the location was beautiful. We would love to return in the summer in better weather to explore the lovely area and walks from the cottage. The cottage is a good spot to explore Ripon, Harrogate, Knaresborough and even York or the coast. Would definitely recommend and thank you to the hosts.

Maybe a highlight strip on the step into kitchen as it blends in with the floor and a potential trip hazard.

"Cosy and comfortable"

10.0

The cottage was excellent. So cosy and comfortable and exceptionally clean. The cottage was well stocked and felt very homely. Communication from Shanie and Tom was brilliant and although we didn't need anything, the offer was there. It was great for the dog as there was a fantastic walk straight behind the cottage. Excellent location just a few minutes from Ripon or an easy drive to Harrogate/York. The Christmas decorations were a lovely touch and made a December break feel really special.

Nothing, it was a lovely stay.

"Highly recommended."

10.0

Located not far from A1 for ease of travel, and yet in a totally peaceful location, with no traffic. Travel to Knaresborough viaduct, (fun on the river) Ripon, and Harrogate (great shoping) all in close driving area. Excellent views and walks, on the doorstep. Spotless accommodation. Facilities inside and out were all you could need. Hosts gave exactly the right amount of attention to us and also privacy for us. Our old Dog loved being able to walk out of the Back door without a high step and straight into secure Garden. We ate at the Pub up the road and Italian "Prima" in Ripon, both Excellent. We wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you.

Nothing to dislike about our stay.

"Most enjoyable, beautifully furnished and decorated. Relaxing place to stay."

Breakfast food provided was good, and a surprise as we didn't know what to expect and had brought some things. Welcoming.

Directions to property, not clear at all that we had to drive up what appeared to be a No entry road. Eventually found out by asking local people! The mat in the kitchen was curled up at one edge and could be a trip hazard..
