The Old Hat Shop

Beautiful and quirky house, it had everything we needed and lots of lovely touches. Communication before we arrived was great and when I realised we’d forgotten to empty one of the drawers they were extremely helpful and accommodating in getting our stuff back. Would definitely recommend and hopefully return soon.

Nothing, it was fantastic

The house was beautifully decorated, with each room having its own subtle theme. Super cosy, especially with the log fire in the evenings. The garden and outhouse were perfect for relaxing outside. Great location too with Cromford Mills near for scenic walks, and there are local pubs, shops, and a chip shop just around the corner. Dog friendly, which was a big plus

Lovely well appointed house. It felt welcoming the minute you stepped through the door. We did think it may be a bit of a squeeze with 5 adults and dogs but it wasn’t in the slightest. It had everything we needed and more.

Nothing not to like. We would all happily stay again.

Lovely property in a good location to some local amenities.

The only bad point I have is the parking (which can’t be helped unfortunately and is beyond control of the host).

Felt like the parking was an issue at times when booking through Booking.com our main filter was a parking space which was advertised. You were not guaranteed a space had I known this I would not have booked it although its a lovely place to stay. Think the stairs should be mentioned very steep and fairly dangerous to the top of both stairs. Not enough room for 6 to sit downstairs but very comfy otherwise.

The House was very charming with lots of Cozy touches such as plants and croissants and a coffee station. Hosts were extremely accommodating.And easy to communicate with.
