The Old Hat Shop

We all loved the house, and its location is brilliant, very close to a shop, cafe and pub. Handy little garden, the house had e writhing g we needed, games, tv, fire, comfy beds, towels, hair dryer, dog bed, and was lovely to have a pint of milk ready so we could have a cup of tea on arrival. Was also nice if the owner to let us check in early as the house was ready. I would definitely recommend, and we would stay again. We loved all the walks near by, the black rocks, and the local pub does lovely big portions of home cooked food, very friendly too, and most places locally are dog friendly.

I don’t think there was anything we didn’t like, that was an issue.

Lovely stay. Very cosy especially with the fire, nice comfy bed, great shower and bath. Attention to detail with all the little things, and perfect location to go off walking

Perfect property - no negatives

Three storey house was amazing , spacious, comfortable, quirky beautifully decorated. Summer house will be fab in better weather as Garden. Bedrooms and bathroom perfect. Beds comfortable. Great location for visit to Cromford Mill and Wirksworth and Matlock close by. Liked it so much coming back for Summer Solstice as Wirksworth has place to enjoy Solstice.

Small suggestion tea in bedroom . Stairs bit awkward for us to make tea for bed But not a complaint

Charming cottage with lots of extra little touches.

Nicely furnished. Lovely coffee machine Host left us some fresh croissants and milk.

Steep stairs and awkward bit at the top to the bathroom

This was exactly everything I was looking for , log fire , stone walls , cafes , walks , country pub, bed was super comfy and they really had thought of everything not just for humans but for our dogs. Met owners mum who was lovely and at hand for any problems.

There is not much to dislike but if I could have more it prob would be a larger garden and stairs to not be soo steep but it really didn't bother me at all.
