The Old Hat Shop

The cottage was amazing . All the little extra touches were fabulous. Even a M&S packet of pastries for breakfast left for us.

Everything! It was absolutely beautiful, stylishly decorated, located right in the centre of Cromford. Prior to our stay Hayley couldn’t have been any more helpful going above and beyond for us. The bed was super comfy (we only used one room as a couple). Bathroom is gorgeous. Lots of amenities that mean you don’t have to immediately rush to the shop on your arrival which you often do in similar stays! Overall a fantastic stay.

Not deal breakers by any means, it’s the nature of the beautiful area - but the parking is probably the worst thing, it’s a case of trying to hit on and get a space on the road outside which we were quite lucky with on arrival, then we went out in the car to visit a nearby town and on the way back couldn’t park anywhere near the house again! Wasn’t too big of an issue for us as a couple but if we were a family with kids it’d be worth being aware of I suppose! The other thing is the road outside is quite noisy, not an issue whatsoever for us two, we slept lovely in the comfy beds and not loud enough to keep us awake, the issue is the noise outside kept disturbing our dogs through the night - just something to be aware of if you have easily disturbed dogs like we do (ours are two nervous rescues!) That’s it for bad points - overall a fantastic stay.

Worth bearing in mind that there is only one street parking. Not a problem but worth planning before you arrive.

Lots of lovely touches added to make our stay really enjoyable. Lovely friendly communicative host. Great location to explore the local area.
