Lovely spacious home, 8mins walk to York Minster

The apartment was warm and homely. Everything was clean and tidy. The sanctuary is a fitting name as it was quiet and peaceful. I found the bed comfortable. It was very cold outside but having access to a nest thermostat once turned up heated the house quickly making for a cosy and comfortable evening. The seating in the living room was comfy and the decor tasteful. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was also to a really good standard. Cannot fault this place. I would come again.

We only had a short stay but there is nothing I could find wrong with the accommodation.

A great location, perfect walking distance to the city center. Great to have the premit so it's free parking in a quiet road. The property was very well kitted out with lots of games, kitchenware and everything to have a comfortable stay.

Check in was from 3pm. We arrived at 5pm and hadn't been sent the code to the lockdox. We found it difficult to find the property. When we couldn't access the property, my husband and I called the owner multiple times, sent text messages and left voicemails. We were stood outside in the freezing cold for 45 mins before she sent me a text with the code. She didn't call to apologise. However, she did suggest to "compensate me for the time" but when I asked for a late check out the following day she didn't reply. She also hadn't replied to previous messages I had sent before our stay. The property could do with some touch ups like painting and the curtain rail in the downstairs bedroom was hanging off which meant lots of light came in during the night.

Great location, easy walk to Sights, the bed was really comfortable and there was lots of space . Big rooms upstairs

We couldn’t get the oven to work . Also the “heated towel rail” wasn’t on , the tv remote was a problem, could only get about 6 channels. Couldn’t adjust heating.

Lovely, spacious and well equipped apartment. Very comfortable bed . Great to have free on street parking with the permit, as so close to the city centre and all places if interest. Good there was a washing machine and powder- although not used this visit. Hope to return for a longer stay next time.
