Hotel setting & Hotel.

I was disappointed with the food. One of the party's main meal was cold & 2 of us had Eton mess but without the meringue!!!🤔

The service was excellent, very attentive staff and the location is fantastic.

The room was clean and the shower comfortable, the only negative was the room being snug to say the least, felt quite cramped and the entrance to the Steadings building smelled musty.

A fantastic hotel surrounded by beautiful scenery. Our steading room was dog friendly and a perfect size for two adults plus the dog. The food was amazing! The venison blade I had for supper was unbelievable! Breakfast in the morning was also delicious. The hotel is perfectly situated for going on lots of hikes. There were plenty of water bowls dotted about for dogs to have a drink and also poo bins which I thought was really helpful.

The steading is the place to book for taking a four-legged friend with you and this is not a criticism but it would have been good if you could perhaps pay £10 extra and the hotel would supply two dog bowls, blanket/bed and maybe a doggy treat for the room. It would've made it extra special and meant we didn't have to take his bed with us.

At times some of the staff were a bit weird and set in ways. Turned a couple away for food saying too busy yet plenty of tables to be had.
