We loved beautiful, historic New Hall. It was comfortable, spacious, superbly equipped and an absolutely amazing place to stay. Michael was so friendly and welcoming. We initially booked the place for a night because we were going to a wedding- but I’m so glad we booked the night before too. The more I looked at the details, the more I knew we didn’t want to just turn up at midnight and leave at 11. This place is a destination to be enjoyed. I wish we could have stayed longer!!

The setting, views and then the house itself with so much space and comfort too. Very well equipped and everything you need for a short or long stay. The owners also came out his way to make up a log fire and show us around the rest of the house. Very impressed thank you.

Interesting history, comfy beds with lovely bedding. Great facilities and host.

Interesting and pretty old building with lots of charm, amazing huge wood beams, well equipped kitchen, wood burner was very cosy. The location is good for Halifax and close to near by amenities. The host was very friendly and attentive over messages and generously allowed an early check in 🙂

Big cobwebs on the stairs and a bit of dust generally - sort of added character but not great for my allergies! Wish some salt, pepper and oil had been provided for cooking since there was such a good range of utensils etc. and is good not to have to buy it just for one night Generally for the price I think we all felt the house could do with a bit of a refresh - not because it is old because obviously that’s part of its charm but the carpets and some other bits like the computer area were looking a bit tired and shabby and I would class the price per night as luxury so expected a little more polish

Plenty of space, kitchen facilities very good, warm rooms. Plenty of parking .

Kitchen was quite cool, did have a radiator but the building is very old, all other rooms were warm. Finding the location my sat nav was not too good, the track to the property was weather worn.
