Guest House HINATA - Japanese House with Sauna and Open-air Bath

Maison très confortable et bien équipée (avec de quoi cuisiner, une machine à laver et un séchoir, très pratique). Nous avons aimé loger dans cette maison typiquement japonaise avec les tatamis à l'étage, les futons pour les enfants, les cloisons entre les pièces et le petit jardin japonais. Tout était très joli. Les petits plus : le sauna, les pantoufles et parapluies à prêter, ainsi que des boissons et de quoi faire du thé et du café.

Habitués au chauffage central en Belgique, le seul point négatif est peut-être la sensation de fraîcheur / humidité de la maison (il avait énormément plu quand nous y étions), mais c'était léger.

The property is extremely well located to reach the Old Town attractions on foot. It offers a carpark, on-site, which was invaluable for us since we had hired a car for our in-depth exploration of Japan. Everything about the property was absolutely perfect.

Good location in quiet residential area; entire house to ourselves; well appointed and fully equipped - like home away from home. Love the outdoor bath and comfortable beds.

It was really fun to be able to stay in a Japanese house. The only thing to be aware I could have was that the only bathroom in the house is in the ground floor and the bedrooms were in the first floor. This house was pretty close to the Takayama temple trail and the old traditional streets.

It was central to many attractions. We could walk easily around town. My husband and I were comfortable in the beds. We enjoyed the sauna. Plenty of kitchen equipment. We had a nice family time here.

My daughter and her husband didn’t enjoy the futons.
