Lovely, comfortable, clean, close to retro and historic shops. Takayama and Guest House Hinata was our favorite place during our stay in Japan. We booked two nights but wish we would've stayed longer.

"A perfect stay in Takayama with tons of room, a sauna and every amenity you could wish for"

Guest House Hinata was an ideal place to stay in Takayama. It gave us tons of room to move around, has an incredible sauna and shower right beside the outdoor garden, a beautiful bedroom paired with a tatami room, and lovely art pieces throughout the house. I greatly enjoyed reading through their guest book to see where other guests have travelled from. Every amenity you could think of was provided. And it’s just a couple of minutes drive from the centre of town which was great!

Location close to morning market and the old town. Fully equipped kitchen. Very clean and cozy.

Bathroom is downstairs and very cold. Bedroom is upstairs.
