Guest House HINATA - Japanese House with Sauna and Open-air Bath

In a great area for seeing the village. Sleeping accommodation was comfortable with the necessary amenities provided.

Found it hard to get a taxi from when needing to catch an early morning train. Not a negative of the place, just something to keep in mind if booking.

Everything! 1. Carpark - we drove, so, it’s nice to park right at the hotel. (Parking is quite tight, and just fit our Serena) 2. Sauna, outdoor bathtub! 3. Extremely comfortable room and fully equipped kitchen. 4. Beds with electric blankets We are a family of 4 (2 primary school kids) and the room is really spacious to accommodate all of us.

Good location, short walk to attractions such as morning markets and old town. Our tyre burst and came in really late, owner waited for us

It's a nice house with everything you need. Especially for the cold winters. I had a bad trip getting to Takayama. Caught in a snow storm, had to wait for hours for the towing service to arrive. It was a great relief to reach there. Owner is helpful and sympathetic.

Great location near the Higashiyama temple walk. Easy walk to morning markets, old town and station. Two comfortable bedrooms (2 beds, 2 futons), comfortable sitting area around table in kitchen/lounge and wonderful sauna and private outdoors bath. Spotlessly clean, PJs provided along with towels, etc.
