Bastante sucio el baño

Die Lage ist sehr gut.

Wir haben ein Bett in einem Zimmer mit vier Betten gebucht, das ganze Hostel ist allerdings nur ein Raum mit 20 Betten und es gibt gar keine einzelnen Zimmer, also bei der Buchung bedenken, dass es keine privaten Räume gibt, auch wenn die Unterkunft das so verkauft. Die Bettwäsche und die Handtücher haben unangenehm gerochen. Die einzelnen Pods haben auch keine Vorhänge und es ist nicht erwünscht, dass man selbst abdunkelt. Es war auch sehr kalt, also auf jeden Fall warme Sachen mitnehmen.

The three bathrooms were big and modern. The location was great.

At the hostel, there were pods to sleep in, which sounds great in theory. However, instead of curtains, each pod just had a metal grate — meaning the person in the pod next to you could comfortably watch you sleep. Hanging up a curtain for a bit of privacy is apparently discouraged, but honestly, I’d still recommend it to anyone who values personal space. The bathroom doors don’t lock securely, so there’s always the charming possibility of someone walking in at any time. And labeling your food in the fridge? Cute idea — unfortunately, it doesn’t stop others from helping themselves anyway. Even though there is a kitchen, you couldn’t cook meals except instand noodls. There is no usual space like in other hostels to get in contact to other travellers. It also seems like the janitor also lives there like a guest.

Location

The location was great. There were lots of restaurants, bars and shopping steps from the entrance to the place. There was even a big farmers market Saturday morning. I enjoyed meeting people from other countries and listening to their experiences. I felt safe, which was important being a single female traveling by myself.

Parking was a little wonky since there is no private parking for this location. I was worried about getting a ticket since they only had 75 minute parking nearby, so I woke up earlier than needed to move my truck. ( There was an unstaffed public parking lot you could pay to park at, but it was a little further away)
