The location

The cottage was very dated needs some serious TLC Recliner chair in living area kept randomly reclining which hurt my son in law, myself and scared our dog several times . Smelt of damp downstairs in the bedrooms. No plug for the bath. Our door patio area to the back of the property was shocking, mouldy broken furniture

Location was very good and was spacious. Also great for dogs.

The downstairs smelt damp, I noticed the dehumidifier but you could still smell damp unfortunately. I understand it is an old building and bedrooms are in the basement.

It is in a great location, situated at the top of the shopping street. The beds were comfortable and it was cleanly. It was ideal for us, travelling as two friends, having separate rooms and en-suites. The host was very helpful when we couldn’t find the house and helpful when our booking.com auto messages for check in details hadn’t come through. Would come back.

It was damp, as most properties in the Lakes are. The master bedroom could do with a de-humidifier (the twin bedroom had one in already). Downstairs where the bedrooms were was cold, which I liked but others may not. The patio furniture is broken and mouldy. These need replacing with ones that can handle the weather. The sofas need replacing. They aren’t the ones on the photographs. They are cream leather (a nightmare to clean at the best of times) and unpleasant to sit on. All in all, these issues didn’t affect our stay and we enjoyed it

Extremely tired. Carpets very grubby. Broken tatty sofa. Needs a complete refurbishment. Damp smell especially downstairs. Garden area was a disgrace. Grotty little yard with broken furniture.
