Revel Stones

This is a quaint little property within a stone’s throw of the town centre. There is also a parking space that is needed in Bowness.

Great location near to the centre of Bowness, ideal for a weekend there as a base for local walks. There is one dedicated parking spot which was great since there is high competition for non-allocated parking in the area. Lots of great places to eat and things to do a short walk away.

The kitchen is very compact - we hadn't planned on making meals in the property as we were eating at local restaurants, but even for making breakfast for 4 adults it was a bit of a squeeze. (This is not a big criticism, just something to be aware of if future guests were planning on cooking full meals in the property!)

Perfect cottage, the most perfect location walking distance to the town center, bars and restaurants. The beds are super comfy the heaters and radiators give off lots of heat which is perfect after a cold hike! Easy check in. Television system in the lounge very good and up to date and lovely little touches such as blankets in the lounge to use when snuggled on the sofa. The parking space is perfect and such a nice touch to have a designated parking spot

The only things we would suggest is a television in the bedroom, as we are the type of people who like to watch television in bed before we sleep but that is the only thing we could suggest, but I would not say this is something we didn’t like.

The location and having home from home comforts. The space was great too and the two en-suite bathrooms made getting ready, very easy. The heating system was also easy to work.

Paint peeling off the walls in one of the bathrooms and the living room/kitchen area could be doing with an update. The socket to the right side of the double bed seemed like to was loose from the wall and when the hairdryer was plugged into it, it would overheat and not work properly. The radiators seemed to have air in them so they didn’t work as well in the twin room compared to the double. Maybe they need to be bled?
