The cottage is cosy and warm great location to get to everything

The recliner on the seating kept coming out when you sat on it. Which my mother in-law could not sit on it.

The location and the space

Excellent location within walking distance of the Laundry Theatre which was the reason for our visit. Everything was spotlessly clean and the kitchen area was well equipped. Very pleasant stay.

One of our party had slight mobility problems and as there were a few steps into the property, a hand rail would have been very useful.

Nothing it was a nightmare as soon as I opened the front door

I know something wasn't wrigh when I saw plug in heaters in all the rooms and one in the twin bedroom didn't work there was also a dehumidifier switch on and it was FREEZING the duvet where cold and damp I tried to put the heating on and struggled at first had to go on YouTube to find out how to get it going I finally got it going so we decided to go for a walk and have something to eat to give the house time to warm up came back to find the heating had gone off and it was FREEZING text the emergency number I was given AND NOTHING by now it was too late to go home so we decided to stay the night the next morning I text the number again explaining what had happened about an hour later I got a text back saying sorry didn't see the text the night before they also said they would arrange for someone to come an fix the problem so we decided to go for a walk thinking it would be fixed by the time we came back NOTHING no text NOTHING waited around for a couple of hours NOTHING so we had choice but to pack up and head home we could not have started in the house another night in that cold place we r in r sixties in fact it was my wife's sixtieth birthday that was the reason we decided to go to the lakes as we love it there don't think it's the best birthday present I've given to my wife she definitely won't forget it

Heating was broken it was -1. txt owner and didn't attempt to fix or help at all. Tired place needs a modernisation.

Location is ideal for the centre! Quaint and charming, shower nice & hot, everything you need, fully equipped kitchen, very comfortable bed, maybe a stool for the dressing table, yes there are chairs in the bedroom but too low to use at the dressing table.

The heating was a bit ‘off’ noticed the radiators were not working and they have extra heaters to compensate this, this lead to it being a bit cold downstairs, we use hive at home so are aware of how it operates. Would benefit from a little TLC and then this would be a perfect place to stay, no disrespect intended.

Quite sweet however needs an overhaul! Bit tired. Settee still broke. It took my dog out a couple of times when it flipped out. Really needs addressed. Had no heating. Couldn’t get tv to work. Not the cleanest house I’ve stayed in. On the plus the bed was comfy.

A lot of work going on next door! Drilling and banging from 9am-5pm Think once someone stays in next door it might be noisy and we could hear everything
