The Totnes Guest House. Upstairs at Zappa's

Very friendly staff and good café in good central location

No ensuite bathroom, filthy staircarpets, having to climb several flights of steps with no lift, lot of confusion as to which room we and other guests were supposed to be in, not value for money, and not a Guest House or an Airbnb. You need to inspect it.

Nice size bedroom with comfortable bed in a good central location. Staff were attentive and answered queries promptly.

It wasn't fully to me that the room didn't have an en suite bedroom when I booked. The shared bathroom can be busy in the morning. The noise of the church bells during the night can be disturbing to sleep so make use of the ear plugs!

Comfy four poster bed. Spacious room. Kettle and fridge in the room. Complimentary croissant and coffee downstairs for breakfast.

Too close to the chiming clock tower.

Staff put right everything that hadn't been. Very friendly, and warm and accommodating.

Lack of info on parking and no immediate parking available. Room was made up for a couple rather than 2 twins as requested on arrival.

Size of room, large bed, very tasteful furniture and interior decoration, room for yoga/exercises of a morning, proximity to cafe downstairs

Shower over fancy bath - didn't feel very safe or easy to use

It was just a bed. Good location for eating, terrible for sleeping It's right next door to a church and the bells go every 15 minutes all night.
