Yu Kiroro, Ski-in Ski-out Luxury Residences

Great access to the mountain. Lovely big rooms with very comfortable beds and clean and stylish bathrooms. Nice staff. Ski valet was convenient although they did lose a pair of shoes. Rooms are quite well stocked with rice cooker, pans, dishes etc. Onsen was quiet and relaxing.

We knew Kiroro was focused around the club meds and the Yu but there is honestly NOTHING else. No convenience store within a 20 minute drive. There is a vending machine but it doesn't even have coke or sprite! The hotel will provide you with "packs" so you can cook in your room but it is just as expensive as eating in the restaurant in the Yu. Washing machine is washer and dryer in one, and it never seemed to get the washing quite dry without several extra cycles.

The property location is 5 stars.

Everything else on the property such as the staff, food, cleaners etc, are all off Temu and are a 1 star.

The rooms are great.

The washer is not good. The area used to have a frequent shuttle that runs from kiroro to Otaru but not anymore. It makes it inconvenient for people who don’t drive. The restaurant service is slow and orders got missed out. We had a meal that was served cold!

The luxury decor of the service apartment. We got wonderful views of snow and skiers practicing right at the doorstep. Their ski-in and ski-out with ski valet is superb. My children loves the staff at the ski valet. The apartment has washing machine with drying function which added to the convenience of cleaning their wet ski gears. 5stars
