Porters Coffee Shop and B&B

Location, cleanliness, very friendly owners, size of bedroom and bathroom, very comfy bed.

Would have liked to have had tea and coffee making facilities in the room for early morning/late night drinks.

Tony and Monika could not have done anything more the service was impeccable, the room was impressively spacious with on suite, the bed was extremely comfortable, it’s not very often that we go somewhere and find it absolutely faultless, but for me Porters is a solid ten out of ten! We were made so welcome, treated like long lost friends, the location is ideal for exploring the local countryside, I would certainly recommend Porters not only for the B&B but if you fancy a coffee and a piece of cake or a toasted sandwich then that’s the place to go any time of the day, they even sell homemade ice cream to die for, I would recommend Porters to anyone including my friends and family.

Monia and Tony were very friendly, warm and welcoming hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was a good size, lovely and a very comfortable large bed. The shower was excellent. The car parking space was a bonus too in such a busy market town. Yogurt, fresh fruit and granola for breakfast was lovely as was the choice of bacon sandwich or pastries. Coffees too were excellent. Monia's local knowledge of restaurants and bars was very much appreciated. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Great location, right in the heart of Helmsley. Off-road parking. Monika, Tony & staff are excellent hosts with nothing too much trouble. The most comfortable bed EVER! Wonderful food in the tearoom. 10/10

Nothing to dislike!

The room was spacious and very comfy bed and bedding. The shower was excellent, lovely big soft towels.. Breakfast was amazing, lovely coffee, yoghurt and bacon sandwiches. Staff were brilliant, Monia and Tony went above and beyond to make sure our stay was fabulous. Such a central location in a lovely little village/small town, gave us loads of recommendations. We arrived early and was able to check in straightaway which is always a bonus.
