The Seaview - South Shields

Modern, well equipped, quiet location, ample parking, close to shops/ restaurants, lock box entry. Friendly host….was in contact.

No pets, but I understand why.

Loved the location overlooking the park then out to sea. Although the apartment was in an.old house converted into flats it was very modern inside The kitchen area had everything we needed and the bathroom had a modern shower in with plenty of hot water. We liked the fact that there was an original fireplace in the living area. Mark was extremely helpful and showed us where everything was.. South Sheilds is connected to the Metro so it's easy to get about.. There's also a nice promenade in South Shields with 2 beautiful beaches. If you.like Indian food you'll be well catered for, but we ate at the Italianish, a fusion of Italian and Tapas and Colmans fish restaurant. Both were well worth a visit. ALl in all an enjoyable stay.

The hob was very complicated to use so we gave it a miss. That's my only grumble

I really enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect.

There was no fault to find, it was perfect!

Watching the big ships going into and out of the Tyne.

We were not given the correct address, the paper work and info said it was apartment no 25, when it was actually no 25B. We only found out by testing key codes on the lock boxes. This was after we had walked into and disturbed some living at no 25!

Staff/owner very difficult to deal with when trying to obtain an invoice for your stay. As a company trying to obtain receipts for accounting purposes this is extremely frustrating. Would not book again off of this basis.

Stairs

The views from the property are amazing. I could happily sit and look out the window for a very long time. The place was wonderfully clean which makes such a nice change. Couches are comfy and there are comfy blankets on hand for extra warmth. Beds and pillows are comfy too. The property is well appointed for such a small place. Hosts communicated well too.

Only minor things, no freezer section in the fridge, no oven gloves (or we couldn't find them), size of the bathroom. I found it a little claustrophobic and with 2 of us in the flat we regularly bumped into each other. As a one night or short stay it's lovely but I don't think I would be able to stay much longer than that and the price paid was quite high for the space.

The views and the location Clean, comfortable bed, hot shower. Wi fi. On street parking outside. Able to walk through park to seafront. Quiet at night0

Stairs 3 flights of steep stairs Bathroom very small. Air freshener smell very strong. Not very warm, no instructions for heating. There is on street parking but at busy times of the year/ nice weekends this may not always be available on the road outside. Street outside a lot of litter ( owner can't do much about that)
