Quirky cottage in the centre of Penrith with a Hot Tub

Everything about this property was fabulous, there was something for everyone grate layout, very spacious and immaculately clean, the extra touches were great for example the hot tub, the pool table and dartboard, would definitely recommend this property and would look forward to stayting there again .

We had an absolutely fantastic bank holiday weekend at the cottage! The location couldn’t have been better — everything from local amenities to takeaways and bars was right on the doorstep. The cottage itself was so well equipped with everything we could possibly need and more. And the hot tub… just perfect after long days out exploring! We would 100% recommend staying here, and we’re already looking at booking again for our next trip north from Kent.

Super close to the centre but surprisingly little noise from outside. Check in instructions were simple to follow. A fantastic little games room to keep us all entertained (karaoke was a winner!) and a nice bonus to have the hot tub. The house was big enough for everyone to have their own space if wanted and a bedroom on the ground floor is great if you have someone with limited mobility. Nice to have a parking space as well. Definitely recommend as somewhere to stay in Penrith and will rebook if up that way again.

The only downside was the pans were a bit small and could do with replacing but otherwise the kitchen is well stocked with utensils and crockery.

Location great, cottage had everything we needed, plenty of space, layout-upside down house but this worked great. Secure for dogs, lovely little town but we went out & about to different places anyway

We seemed to be struck with a bit of bad timing with our stay resulting in these negatives. A roof tile falling from the roof missing our car by inches. On arrival the door mat was soaked with dog urine We lifted this outside and just thought maybe the cleaner had missed this with it being the mat you wipe your feet on. My 12 year old daughter was staying in the room with the bunk beds after the 1st night she noticed a smell that was progressively getting worse after the second night it was so strong it could be smelt when walking past the room so we removed all of our things out. The mattress had been flipped (bedding and topper was all dry ) But the mattress which was soaking still even on our 2nd night had been dripping into the wood. Whoever staying in here just before us had obvisoly flipped this to try and hide an accident. The cleaners again have not noticed this. I was quite disgusted to think my daughter had been sleeping on top of someone else’s urine! The smell by the time we checked out was absolutely terrible! Our last night was not fun as my daughters were crammed in our room on an air bed that we had to purchase. We called the host about this - he was very friendly and I’m sure he would have helped had it not been New Year’s Day there was nothing to be done but I do think this could have been avoided had the cleaners been more thorough.
