Location and nice bar

Fantastic location in the countryside. We really enjoyed the outdoor seating area, and our evening meal was very good quality. We were lucky enough to be staying when there was live music on the Saturday which was very enjoyable.

The outside of the accommodation needs a little bit of attention just some general cleaning maintenance. There was also some confusion with our bill on check out but all was resolved with a smile

Great pub, nice rooms

They turned off the heating in the evening so n the room was cold. The breakfast staff argued with a customer about start of breakfast time, saying it started at 08:30, and only when it was pointed out that the start time, as stated in the rooms and as told by reception, was 08:00, did the staff say "oh". Even though the room rate was including breakfast, expected to pay extra. Bad show.

Room was great, pub warm & friendly, plus great outdoor garden area.

Breakfast, only cereal & bacon or sausage sandwich included, standard breakfast is extra !

Staff are excellent. It is perhaps one of the oldest pubs in Hampshire, so expect stone floors etc. The food quality is excellent and they have a good range of beers. It is set in quite extensive lawned areas and has more than adequate parking. Well worth a stay.
