Alps Vista Retreat - Wanaka

We had some issue with booking. The unit was double booked but they settled it and offered another unit at albert town. 3 minutes drive away luckily.

This apartment is on the ground floor. It’s a great place to stay when you have a car. It had everything that you would need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well equipped. The bathrooms had heated flooring and heated towel racks. Bed was comfortable. The location was peaceful. It is in a residential area so you get a nice community feel. Great for family with kids. Most things were only a 5-10min drive away.

Parking location isn’t great. When you exit the apartment, your parking spot isn’t right outside. you have to walk around to the back. The parking spot faces your lounge room. But, you can’t enter into the apartment from that side. Instructions on where to park needs to be clearer especially if you arrive later in the evening and it’s dark outside. The en-suite bathroom tap runs really slow.

Property was good only thing was no water pressure in bathroom…

Parking wasn’t ideal need a gate off of the deck so you wouldn’t need to walk right around the building to access your vehicle

A nice, comfortable apartment for our group of 4, travelling around the South Island in a car. Otherwise distance from town could be an issue.

The process was new to me and the instructions were a little confusing. Turned out the process was a little confusing with an inconvenient parking spot and teh need to preregister ID via a third party....something I wasn't very comfortable with and may be a factor to consider in future.

the apartment could have done with some espresso cups but other than that the kitchen was well appointed. The sink tap in one of the bathrooms had such low pressure it was almost unusable.
