Great location: just a short walk away from Burneside train station and therefore easy access to Kendal and other villages in lakes. Cosy cottage with plenty of amenities. Welcoming host. Very child friendly. We had a lovely time here.

Only one bathroom can feel a bit tight.

Lovely comfortable bed. Great shower.

Toilet flush kept sticking. No lock on the door.

Big property, very comfortable, very homely. The facilities were great - especially the kitchen which had everything you could need.

The only thing missing was a lock on the bathroom door which is needed if staying with another couple / friends!

Very cosy well kept local pub and local shop a stones throw away decorated lovely think we will definitely coming back but maybe for a bit longer next time kids didn't want to leave

The flush on the toilet didn't pop back up so u had to unscrew it to restt the button for a full flush but wasn't a major problem didn't effect are stay

This was a last minute booking for a kayak club. 5 members stayed together here. Firstly the property is located in a lovely village with parking elsewhere for free if you have more than one car. Pub and take outs nearby that were lovely. Freindly pub a very short walk away. The property was clean and really well presented. No cheap furnishings here. Beds all lovely and comfy. Only one bathroom but we managed absolutely fine. Shower nice and powerful. Funky electric fire place. Snug room upstairs with large tv. Spoke to owner via booking and they couldn’t be more prompt of helpful. Toilet had a small leak but wasnt preventing use. Property manager informed about this. We all said how lovely the stay was bearing in mind we had a basic Haven caravan booked for the same cost. Would book again. Thankyou. Midland Canoe Club

We loved the cottage, especially the electric heater in the living room, which made it feel so warm and comfortable. The loft room looked great with the fairy lights, and the boys really enjoyed spending their time up there.

Just one small note, the loft door can only be opened from the outside, so it could be easy to close it by mistake and potentially get stuck inside

Location was great Easy accessible to where we wanted to go! Lovely gesture of the Christmas decorations Bedroom were spacious

Nothing really, would have loved outdoor space like a small garden for the dog. Honestly lovely cottage

Lovely little cottage with great facilities. Perfect location to explore Kendal and Windermere. Electric fire really heats things up in the cold. The bed was really comfortable. Overall a lovely relaxing break.

Only one slight problem was the damp sofa, it had been freshly washed but hadn't dried due to the cold damp weather. Seemed to take forever to dry. Not a huge problem for us as there were only 2 of us and the armchairs were really comfortable. Owner was super apologetic and it didn't affect our enjoyment
