Functional. Had a big shopping centre next door to it.

This property was booked after our flight at Madrid airport was cancelled. We were tired and just wanted to smoothly check into the apartment and rest. Unfortunately this was not the case. As the apartment was advertised as having a concierge service, I expected better. The apartment was in a gated complex, with no intercom to call. As another resident was leaving, we entered via this way. There was no clear directions as to where to go to pick up the keys, no reception to speak to. The Spanish security guard kindly tried to help us, but as he was not associated with the apartments themselves, this was not super helpful. All throughout this, we had been calling and emailing both the contact number of the apartment itself (provided on my email receipt) and then booking.com's customer helpline. As we were calling from abroad, we were concerned about how expensive this could turn out to be. I had been sent so many emails from booking.com about this apartment that it became confusing. I had no idea if I had been given the codes to get in to somewhere in my emails or in the app, or if someone was going to come out to meet us and give us the keys. After insistently ringing both the contact number for the apartment and booking.com, booking.com finally replied, only to tell us that they would try to contact the hotel and it could be up to another 45 minutes, when we had already been sat in the blistering heat for an hour. Eventually, a woman turned up and gave us the keys, but ONLY after we had endured untold amounts of stress, after an already eventful day. The apartment itself could have been cleaner (had stray hairs left behind and holes and stains on the towels and bedding). Also not enough pillows for four people.

The advantages are that the hotel is close to the airport.

The hotel is even an hour away from the center by public transport. Although I stated that I would arrive at the correct time, I found the gate locked. Fortunately, another tenant was entering and I was able to enter with him, but then he would have to call again and identify himself again in order to enter the apartment after half an hour.

Texted them i will do a late check out, and they told thats is not going to be possible despite in the details says 15:00 to 00:00 for check in, then they started saying Im trying to scam them. Like how?

I feel like they robed me on purpose. I booked this apartment for my overnight stay while changing the flight. After speaking with representative of apartment I have been told that it is imposible to do check in after midnight as they don't have a reception. We agreed upon canceling the reservation on both ends without penalty charge. After I already booked and checked in the other hotel, I have received a message stating that the representatives of this apartment can not wait for me any longer and ended up charging me the penalty charge, even though, as previously mentioned, they have told me it's impossible to check in after midnight and we agreed on canceling the reservation for this reason.
