"We and Booking.com were caused inconvenience and expense and service was not provided. Catastrophic"

We met some very nice cleaners who did not speak much English but tried for nearly an hour to contact the owner/host to help us. They had to give up in the end and appologised for our experience.

We arrived at the property and there was no key in the key safe. By chance the husband of the cleaner arrived with property keys and the couple assured us that the property offered to us was being refurbished and unusable. The 3 other flats were usable but they could not help. After 1 hour of difficult calls and texts the rep for the owner said they could not offer accommodation. Booking.com tried to help but during the Edinburgh fringe... If we arrived at the time agreed we would have been on the streets of Edinburgh for the night!
