Entire holiday home with FREE parking & fast WIFI

Felt secure and was a great location close to lots of local walks, shops, pubs and cafes. It was also dog friendly which was a bonus for us they loved it too.

Cold uncomfortable and mold in the bathroom

The property was very close to town and had free parking.

The house is on the corner of a busy intersection and so very noisy. The house is old and does not have insulation so is very cold. The thermostats would constantly turn off and we could never get warm. There don’t seem to be any spare linen for the pull out couch. There were no basic supplies like tea, coffee, or shower gel.

This is a pleasant and basic property, reasonably priced for the facilities. Perfect location right in the centre. Free parking right outside is a bonus. I found the bed small but very firm and comfortable.

The apartment is pleasant but absolutely freezing!!! It’s an old building with single pane windows and the heating system just isn’t adequate to heat the property to an acceptable temperature without leaving it on 24/7 and it turns itself off throughout the day/night. There is condensation on the windows due to this issue. The bedroom smells slightly of damp because it’s not getting hot enough to stay dry. There is still a summer duvet on the bed and I could not find any thicker duvet or additional blankets to help. These issues need addressing before the colder weather hits next week!! The shower/bathroom isn’t great. Water pressure is very low which I understand can’t be helped but the only heat in there is a towel rail which again makes for a nippy do!

Damp and smelly, mould on curtains, bedroom carpet lifted from gripper was a trip hazard Heating didn't like to come on, took ages for hot water. Need to address damp issues and mouldy curtains, no excuses we are in 2024.

Very comfortable and had everything we needed and was very central. The owners manual was so useful and we were delighted with the range of appliances. Bonus was that we were able to bring our dog too.

Very close to main road and just because of the sheer volume of people in Ambleside, it was noisy at times. We were unable to open windows but that was the only negative of staying in such a central location. .
