Estate Lodge Sleeps 5 on The Jurassic Coast Devon

booking.com sent me the wrong door code and contact details and it took me 3 hours to get in you can not get to speak to any one at Booking .com and they didn't reply to my email

We found the property to be clean and comfortable and the treats were a lovely gesture.

Possibly a welcome pack with recommendations of places to visit and eat, shop etc., A cafetière would be have been great.

Quirky, decorated almost identical to my home so felt very comfortable. Tea, coffee and milk available. Parking. Location was quiet.

We were 4 adults so not enough comfy seating. We didn’t receive an email on how to access the property or how to find it. The contact number didn’t exist. We had to ask a neighbour for the landlord contact details as we had been waiting around/driving for over an hour. Once contacting the landlord they immediately returned our email with the details but put a slight taint on an already stressful situation of coming for a funeral.

The beautiful cosy cottage was wonderful and quirky features made it a memorable place. The thoughtfulness of the host to leave a gift and balloon for me was above and beyond the usual staycation host. Beds were so comfortable and it was so special to watch the wildlife out of all the windows, I have never seen so many pheasants! Really recommend staying here it’s magical.

Perhaps more comfortable seating in the lounge, another sofa?

The location

The property was very hard to find as each entrance advised you that it was ‘NO Entry and Private’. The contact number provided when called stated that the number was no recognised, although the number was attached to the contact details. We had to find a bed for one of our party which was located at the back of a cupboard downstairs and then had to remove the child’s bed from a box room as there was insufficient room to set up the bed for the person in question. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and if we had been staying longer the person stated that they would have to check into a hotel to get a good night’s sleep. The general furniture within the property looked like it had been bought from a jumble sale and there were no bins outside to deposit one’s rubbish. From the outside the property looked fantastic and set in beautiful grounds, such a shame that the interior was so badly presented.

Schöne Lage am Ortsrand eines Dorfes, das idyllisch in einem Tal mit viel Grün herum liegt. Schafe, Fasane und Hasen direkt neben dem Haus im Park. Sehr ruhig und gemütlich.

Kalt bei Anreise. Kein Gastgeber vor Ort oder per Nachricht erreichbar. Ein bisschen spooky.

Property was fantastic, home from home. Very quiet, local village shop staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was ideal for days out.

Nothing everything was prefect

De locatie is fantastisch en heerlijk rustig. Een romantisch huisje op een landgoed. Je waant jezelf als kasteel vrouw, om bij weg te dromen. De bedden waren ook uitstekend! Slaapkamers hebben geen 'last' van elkaar.

Er is geen buitenzitje voor 4 personen. Ook geen stoelen, die we konden pakken. Je wilt ook graag buiten kunnen zitten en/of eten. Erg jammer was dat. Dat zou het compleet maken, als dat er zou zijn. Het was erg mooi weer en dan zit je dus binnen! Er was geen grote lamp boven de grote tafel, waardoor we minder goed licht hadden om een spelletje konden spelen. We hebben een oplossing gevonden, maar zou fijn zijn als dat er wel is. Een extra spiegel aan de wand, bij het keukentje beneden bij de wc, maakt het prima geschikt als badkamer. Dat zou daar ook fijn zijn. We hadden graag ook nog even over het landgoed gewandeld naar de Manor, maar dat mocht helaas niet.

A great location with off road parking, and two good double rooms on a stunning estate. The property was clean and the two double rooms were very comfortable.

We turned up late and tired and the third room which was described as having a single bed actually had a toddler’s bed which was slightly longer than a cot. This was raised with the host. The host told me that an assumption had been made that we only needed two rooms because we were three adults. However, we are a group of friends and had booked specifically because the description was for three rooms, one being a single room. The host tried to tell us where a camp bed and some bedding was but finding bedding was a challenge so one of our group slept on a camp bed with a toddler duvet in the living room and had a sub par quality sleep.

House was nice, beds comfortable enough space. Nice walks, lovely views.

No seating outside House to relax on sunny days, garden very small that was the only negative. House was lovely but couldn't sit in the small garden that we did have.
