Cwm Lodge, an idyllic retreat in the heart of Herefordshire!

Comfy, clean lodge, conveniently near Hereford

Arrived on a cold evening in Winter and the heating was off. It took a while to warm up. It would have been a nice gesture to have had some heating on. The TV channels couldn't be accessed. No reply from owners and no instructions in sparsely detailed guest manual. We received no communication prior to arrival, had to email and ask about entering the accommodation. It is hard to find and would be impossible in the dark. I recommend that guests should receive instructions upon booking before they try and find the place on their own.

We loved this little lodge. . It was cosy , warm and there was everything that we needed in there . Beautiful, rural location , but also close to pubs and village shop .

There was nothing that we didn't like. The only criticism I have is that the fence could be higher in the garden, as we have big dogs - but as dogs are free to go , I cant complain about anything !

Exceptional cottage, immaculately clean, with everything you could need. Great location for exploring Hereford and Wales. We had a very relaxing few days.

There was no contact with our host/hostess, and it felt a bit impersonal. It would have been helpful to have an earler check-in time (it was from 16h00, when it was already starting to get dark). The shower is tiny, without the option of a bath.

Eight miles from Hereford town , sitting in rural Herefordshire . Clean , nicely decorated, all amenities provided. Lovely little bolt hole . Dog friendly which is why we booked. Cones with its own Garden area.

My partner and I stayed at Cwm Lodge, it's a cozy, well presented lodge providing all facilities needed if you plan to cook. The hosts are lovely; they were very helpful with giving us recommendations, directions, and literally helping us out of a muddy situation! All-in-all we loved the stay and will definitely be going back.

Just a couple of minor niggles, the toilet seat wouldn’t stay up, the shower tray is very slippery, I’m 75 and I was terrified of a fall. However, this did not detract from the experience. You still get 5 stars
