The location is great - in middle of small town - smart building, very comfortable beds, room well laid out and had all the facilities you would need, including private bathroom. Great for touring the very pretty and interesting surrounding area.

Hotel would no doubt be great in holiday season. But we stayed in February and not many guests staying so few staff, restaurant closed and no options for food when we arrived just before 9pm. Breakfast service minimal. Carpark small but not an issue for us as there were few guests. No lift and for some reason we were put on 2nd floor.

Both location and room were very good. The restaurant was good although there was a limited choice on gluten free.

Checking in, and opening of bar/restaurant times were later than advertised Breakfast choice was limited and overcharged at €10 pp No reply to emails having left silk dressing gown hanging behind bathroom door on departure

Town & situation in town ,superb. The restaurant on the site served amazing meals .Service was relaxed ,staff were attentive and helpful .Special mention of the Maitre'D who was excellent in his role . The hotel was very attractive and situation was quiet even though on a major route . Our room was lovely with a sparkling en suite and plenty of towels . The staff were friendly and efficient despite the language problems . The town was very attractive with friendly helpful people who went out of their way to assist us . Market on Tuesdays with variety of stalls . Falaise and other towns with colourful history ,well worth a tour around the region .

Despite selecting this hotel because English was spoken - It wasn't or at least not fluently enough to make themselves understood by my husband and myself ,who have no French except the very basic . We have travelled many times to France and never had major problems previously . Tea /coffee making facilities were promoted as free in the welcome pack ,but when we asked ,the staff could not tell us why they weren't available. We were offered a cup of tea one afternoon ,made by the owner because we were desperate for liquid ,other than water! The main problem may be ours ,not the hotels- We love our petit dejeuner- lots of coffee ,lots of choice in the traditional way of croissants ,fresh bread - several types ,choice of confitures and beurre . The Hotel offered a very poor attempt- one small pot of coffee , no milk . One small thin twig of a baguette ,no other choices .The confiture was offered in tiny individual dishes of some unidentifiable fruit just enough for one small piece of bread, no more and only one dish per resident . I am not exaggerating it was not good enough when you are paying over £10 each for the experience! We tried it again on the last day of our stay and the coffee was at least hot on this occasion .For the intervening days we found alternative food in town but we were charged for two mornings when we didn't eat there .We had had too much trouble on other occasions, trying to explain ,that we'd given up and headed back to the ferry .

The location was excellent. There was a very secure garage for our bicycles.

The rooms were very small and very tired.
