Bohemian Retreat by the Sea with wood burner, roll-top bath & leafy garden

The house inside is lovely and full of character and charm. The beds are very comfortable. The house is decorated beautifully.

The outside of the house is quite shabby, and it is a bit further away from Margate town centre than anticipated. The shower water was not very hot, and in the main bedroom, the bed is quite far from the bedside tables, making it hard to turn the lights off! It felt a little expensive for a house with 2 beds and only 1 bathroom in this location.

Stylish, homely, good utilities

Everything was simply STUNNING!:-) loved it there! Perfect host…we will come again!

We loved the bathroom which is huge and very luxurious. The house was spotlessly clean and more comfortable than expected. The host was extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again. About 25 mins walk from station and 10 mins from the very centre of restaurants and town.

Clean and quirky

Coffee/ making facilities- a cafetière and tea pot would have been good. If there were some we couldn’t find them Garden gravel - encouraged cat poo. Bit like a large litter tray

It was such a cute flat, loved the whole vibe of the place. It was really worth it to pay a bit extra to stay in a flat that had a character since we spent decent time in the flat rather than staying in a generic new build. There was a cute little neighbour cat in the garden which we loved as well :)

The closeness to Northdown Road

Old stuffy house, hardly maintained, eery feel, streets dilapidated

The Townhouse was exceptional, carefully curated interior, modern facilities with Victorian decor and fully equipped. It is exactly as it looks in the photos and even better. We were planning to visit Margate for a relaxing birthday weekend and we chose this house because of its character. We enjoyed strolling in the town, but we loved spending time in the house especially in the evening. Everything from the kitchen to the living room wood burner is functional. We didn’t meet the host but we had clear communication through messaging and they were very helpful. We totally recommend it and we would book again if we find ourselves in Margate in the future.
