Wi-Fi didn't work at all.

Good location to explore mid Wales. Lovely room with a lot of character and clean. Very friendly staff and a great cafe with good food downstairs. Pleasant and welcome surprise these days to find tea / coffee / biscuits in the room. Definitely good value for money.

Not the property’s fault but it is a noisy spot. On a busy junction, some revellers coming out of local pubs at closing time and the nature of the old building means the walls are thin - bring some ear plugs to sleep and you won’t care. What the property can sort out is the mattress - much like the neighbouring rolling Welsh hills, I was rolling into the middle of the bed all night as the mattress needs replacing.

Ease of booking and check in

WiFi inoperable, shower was poor for flow and temp control, bed appeared to have partially collapsed in the centre, gloomy, dimly lit room. No restaurant facility. No staff on site - is this normal?

Easy code check in

Loud banging from front door from others staying in same place. Cobwebs in the bedroom. Flooring in bathroom not even cut to size let alone been fitted. Grout and silicone in bath/shower is black. The privacy film on windows is pealing off and when windows open you can been seen by people walking past on pavement while you shower or sat on toilet.

Lovely breakfast in cafe. 3 pubs within easy walking distance. Excellent walking.

Nothing.

It had so much room for a family. Beds were comfy, and had everything we needed - including microwave and fridge. The customer service from the hotel in advance of our stay was first class when they alerted us to the fact we had two bookings.

The clock outside the building chimed every hour! But totally appreciate there was nothing the hotel can do about that.

Great Location

Didn’t seem that clean - carpets were stained, there was some sort of rubber residue in clumps on carpet, no tea spoon to make tea, can hear room above and the guests up there were up 3:30am making loads of noise until 5:30 so couldn’t sleep. Shower had low pressure.

This was a last minute booking as my plans had changed. Booking was quick and simple and the codes arrived quickly allowing me to entre the room straight away. Parking was found just up the road on street and the property was located in the centre of the town.

It was very close to the main through road and the traffic did pass by very close pretty much all through the night. Being an older building the sound proofing and glazing wasn't up to stopping all the noise. That said I did still manage to get enough rest.
