The shelter was exactly as shown in the pictures. Very comfortable! The location is great, there is a very good and low price restaurant that you can reach through a short walk. Dioclécio was very kind and gave us a few pieces of advice on what to do in the area. The position is strategic for PR1 and other trek routes. It has been an amazing stay, and we're looking forward to coming back. This place is pure beauty!

"Cute cabins in the mountains"

Very cute little cabins up the hills of Funchal. Room was clean, bed comfy.

After a couple of days we were getting a little tired of driving up the hill each day, but not really a biggie

Very quiet, calm and relaxing surroundings. Quartermasters are very friendly. Close to the mountains. Seemed private and romantic.

Shelter was very cold (december). Not enough closet space. Wifi didnt work.

The lodges are right up in the mountains but we had a car so no issue. Amazing walks on your doorstep and more 10 mins away. Nice and cool up in the mountains for sleeping. The host was very very helpful.

WOW! Beautiful modern wooden cabin in the middle of nowhere. Such a peaceful location, but not too far from Funchal if you want to get down (20-25 mins in a taxi) A range of lovely walks from the front door. Amazing shower. Able to stargaze at night. There’s a fantastic ‘snack bar’ just a few mins walk away with super friendly staff and a range of amazing poncha flavours. We can’t wait to go back next year!

"The perfect luxury mountain lodge!"

The perfect escape location with exceptionally high standard facilities. The lodge is huge and beautiful in equal measure. The perfect place to explore the Madeiran mountains but also if you're exploring Funchal but keen to have some serene evenings. We were able to cook our own food but enjoyed the cafe restaurant only 5-10 minute walk away (which does amazing hot chocolate!). The host was friendly and helpful. Please don't hesitate to book here.
