X One Hotel

The staff were very welcoming and friendly and spoke good English. The bed was very comfy and the ensuite was very modern, with a shower door to keep the floor from being soaked (a luxury in SE Asia). There was also a kitchenette with a full size fridge freezer, sink and microwave, as well as a safe. The balcony was a lovely touch and gave great views over the Mekong. The location was excellent for restaurants and banks, various bus company offices and the weekend street market along the riverbank.

Although the room was clearly set up as a self contained studio apartment, it was quite small and there wasn't a lot of room to move around. The aircon also took a while to cool everything down. Absolutely fine for a 1 - 3 night stay where you're out most of the day anyway, but I think any more would have felt quite cramped

No International TV The wall safe was loose (not bolted in)
