"Lovely stay In Sussex countryside"

10.0

We really enjoyed our stay, it is a lovely spot in the Sussex countryside and the shepherd huts were great. However, the real highlight was the very warm welcome from Sally and so we happily recommend the accommodation.

"Comfortable and cosy little hut"

10.0

We had a great stay. We were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable, cosy and clean the hut was. The large space and seating areas outside were great for relaxing. Sally and her family (including her dogs!) were really hospitable and we loved her baked treats especially.

Nothing, really, but a small suggestion would be to move the automatic lamp outside further away from the door of the hut so that fewer flies get into the hut when the door is opened in the evening.

"Great break with an amazing host ."

10.0

The location is perfect, five minute walk from the village pub which was lovely and welcoming . Sally is a fantastic host and the Shepard’s hut oozes quality with everything you would need and more . I am a very light sleeper and found the bed super comfy and plenty big enough (I’m 6’2”) The out door area is fenced so our dalmation could be kept off the lead all of the time which was great and it had a lovely seating area to watch the sun set .We will definately be back !

There really is nothing to dislike , everything has been thought of!

"Unique place and the best host!"

10.0

Its location is what makes this place so unique! It was a great experience! Both huts are very cozy! They are located in the field, a few meters from a creek, and from the barn. Our 5 year old loved being with the calves. We saw ducks, eagles, rabbits, pheasants, etc from the huts area. We also got to see the cows being milked. The property is really close to Arundel and the surrounding area is beautiful! Our hosts, Sally and family, were extremely lovely! They were very close, and willing to offer us the best stay. Definitely one of the best hosts we have ever met on booking. 100% recommended!!!

Absolutely fantastic! Property was very spacious, clean and had everything you could possibly need. We will definitely be back. We went with our 2 children and dog and it was great with lots of places to visit locally too.

Nothing. You will not regret booking here.

"Excellent in every way."

10.0

Tansy and Ethel are in the most glorious location on a working farm that has been in the family for generations. Sally was a great host so she made sure we had everything we could possibly need. The accommodation is perfect for a couple or family, we had an excellent meal in the George which was a 4 minute drive and to wake up to the silence of the Sussex countryside was a pleasure. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Everything was perfect

"Idyllic little gem of a place."

10.0

The property was beautifully kept. It was very clean and everything seemed brand new. The towels were fluffy and the bed was so comfortable. Waking up was a delight with the rolling countryside in full view. Sally was available for our every need throughout our stay and kept checking in with us to make sure we were ok. The breakfast and homemade tiffin provided upon arrival was delicious and ample for the four of us. The icing on the cake was the proximity to the pub which we visited three times and had amazing food and drinks on each visit. We even managed a gentle stroll along the river into Arundel and around the castle one day which was fabulous. A faultless trip away- thank you.

Nothing really. We had no wifi as there was a fault with it while we were there but Sally worked hard to get it fixed for us. It was nice to have some family time without the technology though and we could nip to the farmyard (about 50 yards away) anyway if we needed to check our phones.
