Shepherds Huts Tansy & Ethel in rural Sussex

Sally and the team are very freindly. Satying on a working dairy farm was amazing. Seeing the cows and making a fuss of the cows where my highlight. The hut was clean and tidy and all you need and want from some where to stay.

The huts are beautifully kitted out with everything you need for a long or a short stay. Very cosy and very comfy beds.

Quiet location, beautifully equipped with everything we needed including outside chairs, covered area and a firepit to warm us with a glass of wine in the evening. Board games, local maps and local knowledge for walking and eating. In the kitchen we had teabags, coffee (instant and fresh), milk, butter, jams and fresh croissants the first morning. Bliss. Our host was so welcoming throughout and we may keep in touch.

Nothing. There was no tv and the phone reception was weak and intermittent. That was excellent for us as we don’t use either that much.

We had such a warm welcome from our host, Sally. The huts are beautiful, wirh everything needed for a comfy stay in a lovely farm setting. Attention to detail was spot on. We can't wait to come back next year..Thank you!

Beautifully presented, a little oasis on a working farm. Very comfortable huts with quality fittings, loads of space to spread outside and large covered sitting area. BBQ and firepit were a bonus. Ordered bbq food from sally which was excellent, included a pudding which was a bonus. You should do this. Grandkids loved the whole experience and are still talking about it. Sally was very attentive and showed the boys the milking of cows and bottle fed the calves. Book local pub through her and you get a discount. Only regret was leaving !

It was very comfortable, and very tastefully decorated

The bathroom door squeaked and was noisy to shut . It meant when we used it during the night we were at risk of disturbing those sleeping in that hut. Equally the door to Ethel hut was noisy to use during the night again causing the other guest to wake up. These would be my only complaints, otherwise everything was tip top!

Wow, we were so impressed with this stay we have immediately booked again for next year. Sally had considered everything with all the facilities you could possibly need. Every item in the huts was high quality and beautifully chosen, with everything you could want to cook and stay comfortably for as long as you like. There is parking, a co-op a few minutes away for last minute food and a catering option for if you don’t want to think about cooking. We made the most of this and had the full English breakfast, barbecue hamper, breakfast hamper and afternoon tea. All of them were amazing quality with extremely generous portions (we easily split it all out over a few days and the only thing we needed to buy was lunch one day!) We stayed with two adults, two kids and two dogs. Our dogs were very comfortable and most importantly secure in the field. There’s a double gate between the huts and the main house which we really liked and helped make sure they were contained whenever they needed to be. We didn’t feel overlooked at all and our city kids really enjoyed watching the cows be milked and learning about them. Beds were super comfortable, huts were warm and very sound proof (it rained all night one night and we had no idea until we opened the curtains!) and it was brilliant having a proper shower and toilet in a little field glamping space!

We loved everything about the property.

All aspects of our visit were met and exceeded, peaceful location, lovely accommodation. We have recommended to friends and family.
