Gem’s House

The host was distant and seemed unwilling to communicate from the moment we arrived. On the first night, a group of guests were very noisy outside until after midnight, making it hard to sleep. During the day, the host questioned us (via translation app) about why we were leaving in the morning, even though we had paid for another night and all our belongings (including large backpacks) were still in the room. When we returned in the evening, we found several large cockroaches and dirt (hair, dust balls, and a piece of plastic by our backpacks) in the room none of which were there when we left in the morning. The room had been locked, so only someone with a key could have entered. We felt very uncomfortable, either due to poor hygiene or the possibility that someone had entered our room while we were away and made this disgusting mess.

The hotel is quite nice and conveniently located close to the main road, making it easy to get around. Access to the beach is simple and straightforward. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and it's a bonus that you can cook your own food.

The hotel has many mosquitoes, which can be quite bothersome, especially in the evening.

Relatively low cost and pleasant owner.

Not close to beaches or ammenities - other than the restaurants that run the full length of the very long shoreline in this town. 1.5km to the neaest ATM.

Beautiful place :) Ngoc is lovely and the mango smoothies are yum!!
