Applegrove, perfect 2 bed bungalow, Fortrose

It's a lovely house, very spacious and warm, with everything you need for a comfortable holiday. Location is really good. We used the kitchen to cook our meals, and had everything we needed and was clean (although some pots and plates had to be washed before use). Very easy to find, and super easy check in and check out. We didn't have any issues with opening the front door.

We had issues with both showers. The host was super responsive and resolved one of them straight away, and the other was going to be sorted when we left (we only stayed for 2 nights). The sitting arrangement in the living room could be better to be more comfortable for a group of 4 people to sit in. Also, as mentioned, it would be very useful to have somewhere to hang coats. I found the twin beds to have a fair amount of dust.

The size of the home was great.

The inside of the property desperately needs updating. I personally don't agree with asking paying guests to strip beds. When I read the email sent to me after booking, it felt like the longest list of chores and as someone who travels constantly, it was odd to receive and made it seem unwelcoming.

The cosy home feel, access to the town sea and other attractions.

Initially trying to get in the front door even with instructions was made easy when you pull the handle and twist the key. We found you can avoid the ticks from the hard to see small steps into the bedrooms by placing down something like a light coloured sock to highlight them, and lastly the end corners to the double bed need careful negotiating in the dark... ouch!

Was a lovely little cottage in a very quiet village. Was about 20 minutes back in to Inverness. The cottage was clean and comfy.

Nothing to dislike though the door lock was a little tricky.

In the true spirit of home sharing there were thoughtful things like tea and coffee, sugar,salt pepper etc that just make a trip so much easier. The instructions from the owner for a comfortable stay were on point and appreciated. Highly recommend

Couldn't stay longer :)

This is such a beautiful cottage and it had absolutely everything we needed. Fortrose is just lovely! We were staying for the Cromarty Regatta and this location was perfect. The cottage is just gorgeous and the garden is just lovely to sit and have a morning coffee. Had a brilliant stay. Cannot recommend enough.

Loved everything. Wish I could have stayed longer

Location was ideal for us as my mum needed to be close to everything due to her mobility issues Nice and quiet, spacious for both of us.

Really spacious bungalow. Lots of room for the four of us. Two bathrooms was really handy. Well equipped for self catering and a great location.
