Applegrove, perfect 2 bed bungalow, Fortrose

Good location

Single beds were uncomfortable, more suited to children rather than adults as described. Bathrooms and kitchen could be cleaner, mould in shower traps and on the wet wall and dust in the corners that looked like it had been there for a long time. Shelves in fridge door not very clean but we did not store any food in there so it was ok.

The place was a lot larger than expected. It was perfect for our family of four with separate bedrooms for us and our two boys. Walkable to town, an old cathedral and the waterfront. Had everything we needed to cook a few meals. Strange thing to notice, but the toilet paper was higher quality and not the cheap stuff included with most rentals

The location is perfect. Close to Edinburgh, yet a small village. The house was very comfortable and perfect for four folks.

The queen bed is not very comfortable. It could use an additional foam mattress.

We were perfectly positioned to visit family locally. The local town/village has everything that you need almost on the doorstep with the local shop only a minute away by foot. The beach is a short walk and the location is generally very peaceful.

Lovely cottage in Fortrose. Nice garden. Good communication regarding keys and facilities.

As advertised. Met needs of myself and daughter very well.

Great central location, spacious property, very peaceful, nice private garden.

A musty smell on entering the property which seemed to linger. Cleanliness could be better, some dirty cups & cutlery in cupboards, hairs & bits in shower, dust around edges of bathroom.

Nice size rooms. Dining area overlooking secluded garden.

Slow running shower. Unable to open bedroom window. No chair or wardrobe in bedroom. Kitchen cupboards so full of excess cutlery and other kitchen items, we had nowhere to put things we had brought with us.Musty smell on arrival. Parking not easy- had to reverse out into narrow street with other cars parked close by.
