GBLochside location was lovely
The morning I was due to check in, the property messaged me saying there was no lunch or dinner service for 2 of the 3 nights I was staying as they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. This was obviously too late for me to cancel the booking. This information is not available ANYWHERE online - in fact their website says open 11am - midnight. Do not believe this - it is a lie. The bar also closed at 9pm on the Sunday - despite what was written on the website. My ‘double bed’ in one of the more expensive rooms was 2 single beds pushed together. The location is unfortunately very close to a church, whose bells sound every 15 minutes during the night. As the rooms are single glazed, this is incredibly noisy, as is the noise from the main road. My room was also next to the kitchen, which was making extractor-type noises throughout the night (despite the kitchen not even being open?!) The rooms had blinds instead of curtains, which let in a lot of light. There was no WiFi information available at all in the rooms. The beef cheeks, which the waitress recommended very highly, were too salty for me to eat (and I have a high salt tolerance) The car park was also not clear at all, with the whole area marked ‘no parking’ and full of derelict cars. There was no housekeeping inside the rooms on any of the 3 days I stayed there. The website photos are also misleading - there is no loch view from the bar, I guess this is just one of the rooms.

No breakfast. Window draughty. Incessant noise from unexpectedly ginormous ventilator fan and clashing pans from busy kitchen on the other side of the bedroom wall.

Chose this property as we wanted an evening meal and breakfast as we would be travelling on motorcycles and it just makes the trip easier. Found out on the day there’s no Breakfast option and the restaurant is closed on certain days. Not too much hassle as we walked to another pub for food and found a local cafe the very next day. Just wouldn’t have booked if I had known this info upfront.

The inn is on a busy main road so quite a bit of traffic noise. There was no breakfast available.

No breakfast service. Areas of further restoration and internal paint work still required. A little expensive compared to the local competition for just a room only option.
