The location . It’s a beautiful property that is spacious however it is not well maintained

my experience was far from satisfactory. I feel compelled to share my concerns and disappointments in the hope that improvements can be made for future guests. Firstly, there was a persistent issue with a sewage pump that randomly released smelly water in close proximity to the pool area. This not only created an unpleasant odor but also compromised the overall ambiance of the lodge. Furthermore, during load shedding, there was a complete lack of running water. It was incredibly inconvenient and frustrating to not have access to basic amenities during these periods. Additionally, the absence of lentils/lights for load shedding added to the discomfort and inconvenience. The maintenance of the house was also subpar. The wooden floors inside the house were in dire need of replacement, and the worn-out floors outside posed a safety hazard, particularly for crawling babies. It is essential for a lodge to prioritize the safety and comfort of its guests, and this aspect fell short during my stay. Equally disappointing was the level of service provided. Numerous attempts to contact the reservation desk were met with unhelpful responses such as, "I can't assist, it requires management to resolve the issue." It is disheartening to encounter staff who seem indifferent to the needs and concerns of guests. It is crucial to have a responsive and attentive team in place to ensure a positive experience for visitors. Lastly, the thick walls of the house created a dark and eerie atmosphere during power outages. This added to the overall discomfort and made the stay feel like a scene from a scary movie.

The house is spacious accommodated all of us. We also did some running and MTB within the Estate. Perfect for friendcations or familycations

The flooring between the jacuzzi and pool is bad. We had 4 people slip and fall badly. One was seriously twisted left foot and badly injured, if you can replace this flooring with a non slip it will be fantastic.

We stayed in house no J-127, it was big ,spacious, had a pool, lots of showers and bathtub, great location, enough doom for mosquitoes, really appreciated that ,the house keepers were also doing their part,the house was well kept

We stayed in house no J-127, furniture was so old the couches had a hole in them and they just covered them with some couch cover ,please upgrade the couches and get comfortable dining room chairs,one of the doors when we checked in was not locking we called reception area and Riaan to help & they made us sleep with the unlocked door(slept witb one eye)😢

Shower did not work in one bathroom. Wifi not very good.

The house we stated in (House 139 Splendid Views) was comfortable and well equipped. The images online are few and deceiving. The house is much nicer than you expect. Would suggest uploading images of all of the rooms, as well as the kitchen and dining area. We thoroughly enjoyed the animals frequenting our doorstep and the pool at the house. We were pleasantly surprised to see the house had a 5th bedroom. Bookings.com only mentions 4 bedrooms and a sleeper couch. We enjoyed the padel court which opened whilst we were there.

The pool area can be upgraded. A bigger and heated pool would be great. At present, the pool is really cold. More umbrellas, pool chairs and day beds are also required to accommodate all of your guests. A later check-out around 11am would also be good. 10am is rather early.
