Achintee Cottages No 2

The view outside the window. BBC iPlayer. Well-equipped and stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Proximity to town centre. Friendly and understanding staff and their prompt response. Powerpoints with USB ports. Faintly audible "baa" coming from some sheep outside the compound. Reliable hot water in shower.

Double bed was too small for 2. My husband and I took turn sleeping in the living room. Single beds also felt smaller than standard 90cm wide ones. The room heater could only run for about two hours, after which it had to be switched on again. We were told that there was a manual to overwrite it but unfortunately we couldn't find it. The house lost heat very quickly so it was a bit cumbersome. Bathrooms (esp downstairs one) were very small with little space to move freely. The wet weather 😄 but of course it is beyond the property's control!

Some basic fixtures were missing for a place aiming to be on the higher end. For example a ledge/shelf on the wall of the shower stall for the shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers would be really helpful. As it is, they had to be placed on the floor.

Die Lage war ideal – ruhig im Grünen und dennoch nah an einer größeren Stadt mit guten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten; dazu kamen die sehr saubere und hervorragend ausgestattete Unterkunft, das umzäunte Grundstück, die tollen Wanderwege direkt vor der Tür, die herzlichen Gastgeber und das rundum sichere und angenehme Gefühl während des gesamten Aufenthalts.

The most perfect location for us. The home is beautiful in a quiet area with easy access or walk to town. Perfect positioning to start the Ben Nevis hike. House well equipped with everything you need and the view absolutely breathtaking. We would definetly try to come back Ps . Local organic beauty products in the bathroom were a very nice touch .

No negatives. Maybe it really raised the bar for our next accommodation where we plan to stay :)

Perfect location and had everything that we needed

Přenádherně situovaný dům s dechberoucím výhledem z oken na údolí Glen Nevís. Výborné výchozí místo k mnoha túrám po okolí.

Location to Ben Nevis couldn’t have been better! Super equipped kitchen! Log burner with free logs! All the Beds were super comfortable and the showers had an abundance of lovely hot water! What more don’t need!!

Perfect place to stay. Just out of town. Absolutely beautiful surroundings. Lovely apartment, super clean and comfortable. We wanted for nothing. Loved it
