Kowdi House - A Heritage Homestay

The rooms are exactly like whats in the pictures, we got here because we booked another place and the room was not what's shown in the pics, screams heritage, really calms you down with that old Keralian architecture aesthetics! Kudos to the owner who came up with the idea.

Breakfast was so delicious huge quantity and it's like purely homely made food and can't get any better than this. They also upgraded us to King Room at no extra cost, but with a Huge Beautiful Happy Smile.

Everything was just the way I wanted. It's like a Living in a Beautiful Home.

Sehr freundliche Hosts, liebevoll gestaltete große Zimmer mit Liebe zum Detail, sehr schönes Bad, kostenloser Wasserservice in der Kupferkanne, alles sehr sauber, köstliches Frühstück... Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können dieses Juwel wärmstens empfehlen.

I absolutely loved my stay at Kowdi house, it’s seriously a gem in Kochi. Super well located, close to nice cafés and restaurants. There’s a tea house with local snacks just next door. Ashwathy and her husband are super warm and welcoming and they love sharing their culture me. I arrived quite late and they waited for me to arrive and she made me some homemade food. Felt instantly at home. Felt so at home that I decided to come back and this time stay for a month. They made sure wifi is working properly for my work, helped with food catering, laundry and also there’s a little kitchen if you need to warm up your own food or cook something. I know after a month here, i will for sure be coming back again.

At first I was worried about the noise/traffic but seriously after a day or 2, you get use to it; it’s mostly during the day and at night it’s relatively quiet for a peaceful sleep 🥰

The space is as in the images, the hosts are a lovely couple, who provide utmost guest experience and services, the location is near some of kochin's prominent food spots and landmarks.Overall a more than satisfactory experience.

I had a wonderful stay here during my work trip. The check-in was smooth, and the hosts were warm and helpful. The room was clean, spacious, and perfect for working comfortably. The building itself is almost 90 years old and absolutely beautiful — full of charm and character. It truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, work-friendly stay. I’d love to come back!

I just stayed one night but was overwhelmed with the hosts hospitality!! The rooms were clean and cozy and I was told that they restored the old building for the rooms which made the experience even better for me! Nothing more to add but love for those two!!!
