Good location . Near things

Got there no working air conditioning, room 85 degrees. No hotel staff on site. No help to resolve. Husband is a heart patient, cannot tolerate that heat. We found another place to stay that was great. Tried to contact hotel many times, they don’t answer the phone . Have not had any response from them I. A week . We feel we should get a refund of our cost .

The location was perfect not too crowded and we had a view of the lake.

The only thing negative to me was the bed. For me it was too firm. But everything else was great! Would definitely recommend and return.

Quaint motel with a homey feel. The view & location were ideal for us. We stayed one night on our way to Grand Rapids from Marquette, MI. The bed was firm but we like that so it was comfy for us. The communication back & forth via text with the owner(s) was great! We also loved Sturgeon River Pottery which was just down the road.

We could hear people walking around above us. It’s an older motel so that’s to be expected. Also the thermostat didn’t appear to be working to control the heat. (It was in the 40’s at night.)We went out & came back & the room was 80. It was around 11 pm so we didn’t message the owner. We just turned it off & cracked windows & it cooled off. The next morning we also noticed the shower drain was running slow. I let the owner know about both of these things when messaging re checkout. They seemed responsive to taking care of these things before the next guests arrived.
