Sumptuous bedooms and bathrooms, the whole place exquisitely decorated and furnished with the best of everything.

I loved everything but there is nowhere to eat in the vicinity so have a hearty meal somewhere before you arrive

WOW, WOW, WOW. What an amazing treat this hotel is. Set in the stunning grounds of the Castle of May it is the most beautiful place with sea views to one side and fields to the other. The decor is just beautiful is all areas. The lounge for all guests is just gorgeous with really comfortable furniture and even had a stunning sunset view. The bedroom was just stunning and comfortable with everything you need. The bathroom was next level with a huge walk-in shower and a bath that was longer than normal. The staff were really friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and made recommendations for places to see. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice and was served in a beautifully decorated room with very friendly attentive staff. A 5 star experience, value for money. You get what you pay for. Definitely going back again.

There was no evening meal served, however the staff did offer to book us into a nearby restaurant of our choice, or offered us a cold meat platter. A couple of other guests commented that they would have preferred an evening meal there also. That was the only down side but its nothing that would ruin anyone’s stay there.

Breakfast was simple continental style, but good quality and prepared well.

No lunch or dinner available at the hotel, so we tried to dine at all three of the recommended restaurants nearby, but all of them were unable to attend to us, due to staff shortages. As a last resort, we decided to try the local chippy, which unfortunately is closed on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, so we ended up with a sandwich from the local Spar shop - Very disapointing.
