Great communal breakfasts with cheerful staff happy to provide additional items like eggs etc. And the kitchen was there for us to use if we couldn't face yet another restaurant. It really felt like being house guests. The renovation of the house from what was a former wreck has been done brilliantly, and uses green energy solutions and high quality insulation etc. making it very comfortable.

The only possible criticism was the bed - bit creaky, and I'm not a fan of iron bedsteads. But that is being very picky, the room was very comfortable. And I suppose if you were here for more than 3 nights the drive up and down the valley might get tiresome.

The privacy was perfect. We felt as though we had the place to ourselves. The pool was gorgeous and the grounds were very well maintained. Bed linen was very comfortable and of fine quality. The breakfasts were ideal and filled us for a few hours. Finally, the staff were friendly and gave you privacy. Very very nice stay.

Location is mountainous, so of course you will need a vehicle. For us this was known and not an issue.

We stayed here for a week and enjoyed it very much. The hotel room, common area and the outdoors are very well maintained and all little details are thought out. The location is good, it was easy to access any part of the island by car within short time and still stay in a beautiful and very quiet place. The stuff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were good, the fruits and cereals are in buffet-style, the bread, cheese, ham and juice were in portions per person. However the kitchen is open for guests 24 hours, so it was always possible to have a cup of tea or grab some apples for a quick snack. The room were cleaned throuhoutly every day. And we really enjoyed the pool area and the garden outside. It was a bliss to stay in this place!

I would like if there was a garbage bin in the room also, additionally to the small bin in bathroom.

The property was great. Pool, groundskeeping, and staff were amazing! Everything was clean and breakfast every morning was a delight! The pool was a great temperature and plenty of lounge chairs/tables. If you plan on staying here you need to rent a vehicle for the drive is about 10 min up the mountain from the nearest town. No problem for us, very intriguing drive from Ribera Brava/Ponta do Sol!

Magnificent renovation of an old farmhouse in a breathtaking setting. Beautifully maintained garden and good breakfast! The pool was a perfect spot to relax your muscles after long hiking days, while enjoying the view of the ocean from within the mountains.

The room acoustic insulation was a bit lacking.

Nicely set and renovated property. Quiet place for good rest with nice mountains views and on Nuova Levada track. The pool was nice and of good temperature. The timed breakfast was simple but tasty, although we missed vegetables.

The stone house where we stayed was of comfort compromises. It’s a duplex studio with bed and cabinets for clothes up to steep stairs, while kitchen, bathroom with toilets small folding sofa, dining table and TV are on ground floor. The door was very noisy (scraping against the floor) and lastly, the stone house feels a bit damp. Value for money was lower compared to other accommodations during our stay on the island.

We really loved our stay, a super friendly welcome in a gorgeous location.
