The Highdown – Brunning and Price

Das Hotel hat die altenglische Ambiente und ist das Privathaus der ehemaligen Besitzer gesesen. . Es ist wunderschön. Das Gästehaus mit den Zimmern ist getrennt vom Restaurantbetrieb.

Es war ziemlich schwer, das Hotel zu finden. Frau Google ist verzweifelt.

breakfast was ok. nothing more.

The staff were all excellent and attentive. The bar and restaurant looked fantastic.

The sound insulation from within the bedroom was very sub-standard. The TV and conversation from the adjacent room was very audible late into the night (past midnight). The dinner menu was appetising but when the belly pork arrived it was soft with no crackling although being described as crispy on the menu. The flavours of the meal weren't balanced, too rich and over cooked unfortunately. The smashed avocado for breakfast was too oily and wasn't eaten.

Clean, modern rooms. Gorgeous bathroom and toiletries.

Great place to stay. Food is amazing and staff ever so helpful. There are great walks that start from the hotel as well. There is a lovely tea room there as well. Parking is easy.

Staff went out of their way to make sure our room was to the correct specifications we required.
